Can Indians avert a Crisis???

All of us saw the world being rejected as a failure at the Copenhagen summit. US to me comes from a second planet aiming at failing our blue planet though black Carbon planet now . It was a time to turn planet back to blue with a roadmap for all of us. But I think the downturn of the event has left us bereaved us from our planet.

India boast of being successful: aligning itself with BASIC, but has it forgotten the basics on what our democracy, our republic, our mahan bharat stands upon??

After the summit, Indian delegation spearheaded by the environment minister gathered a lot of ground and accolades politically for the overwhelming success of the BASIC bloc for consideration of their demands in the broken mantle of the summit. It may seem to be a good new year gift to many of us us, but I suppose to those who see it on the shorter span of future.

Success of the BASIC bloc cant be dubbed as the success for us, Indians. We have partially lost the battle on the climate ground. Where the situation could be one in which world would have looked upon us for exemplary standards set by us; it was a turn around.

Let me elaborate this failure and a big hole in this policy of india. We are polarizing ourselves with a bloc which consists of countries like Brazil, South Africa, Mexico and China. While the first three are way ahead of india in terms of Human Development Index, and per-capita basis; China dominates us in every respect not only on per capita basis but also on overall basis. China is placed higher on the HDI table than India and its foreign reserve amounting to trillions are far much greater than what we have vaulted. While the above said countries have reduced poverty levels to 10 % mark and even below, we are still grappling with the clutches of this malady with a burgeoning 27% population under privileged. The remaining 63 pc aren’t on a cakewalk. The over burdening population, filthy atmosphere, self-centric approach, honking streets filled with wheels, unending queues, etc etc are further distressing.

At such a time its wiser for New Delhi to change its gears and come up with a new action plan, not only in the pipeline but also to practicality and purpose. The action plan needs to be clear and exhaustive in its approach keeping in mind the hard facts that this BASIC bloc has used India merely as interlocutor for their own benefits totally ignoring the standing of India. Its high time for us that we come out with a new green policy that works out improving the environmental conditions from the Indian side. Though this may sound a bit immature stuff, but its not as naïve as one would think. It has been shown by eminent and prominent scientists that with the available technologies in India, it can achieve a break-through in giving the world a new green- revolution. It will be helpful for us and the world in many ways. With the shrinking Ganges and other major rivers along with rivulets and ponds being brought to revival, glaciers ceasing to recede further, and desertification on a halt, wont it rejoice even the cynics of this article. The great Indian civilization of which we boast and have been proud of will be given a rebirth. Imagine all of us being brought up in a clean atmosphere. This approach also gives an added benefit that when after 2020 or 2030 or so when we will have to switch to greener technologies, we would have already passed that transition and de-stressed with this responsibility, with our country on the top surpassing every country in the globe. We will also be able to achieve innovations in green technology with the world coming to us to buy these innovations. Further not a single person will be able to point out fingers on our industries and style we have carried and given to the world. Imagine more green fields with bumper harvest and everyone getting food to their maximum with poverty brought on its knees. Just Imagine how sufficient we will be in every aspect.

Howeve this approach calls for a better and wider public support and administration. We need a radical shift in our mindsets. We need to evolve from being called a consumer friendly, fossil guzzling, carbon emmiting economy to an economy that is fertile and green in its policies, transport, culture and off-course people. The highly sadistic and self-centric approach has to be warded-off from our minds. Remember every step we take from now onwards is going to effect our lives. The more we bring the great value of ‘Vasudev Kutumbukam’(world as our family) the more secure our steps will be. Irresponsible will turn to a Respectable and Responsible Indian.

Lets start from scratch. Lets become awakened citizens. Lets show the world the Indian might. The more we will drift with policy makers, the results will be such failures: not only us but the whole world. Remember there is no planet-B. Lets do our own contributions. I m doing my bit. Are you ??

BLOOD ON THE INDIAN FLOOR

MJ wont have learnt to rock the people. He preffered to pop instead. No doubt his life can be summoned as "Michael Learns To Pop". Whatever it may be, the king of pop now Resting In Peace has rocked the Indian cradle of sycophanting the famous. Indian dance floor is smeared with noted chunk of unnoticed billions plus few compatrioits and firangees, who gather blinded and noted licking of the oscar certified news channels. The unnoticed mass is made noticed by these 'sansani-khej' channels flowing away and swaying in rivers of rhetorics, crocodile tears, masaledar politics leaded by veterans like Rakhi Sawant and Celina Jaitley (can you believe these women stepping out of skin-shows to road shows).

MJ was not a freedom fighter nor a NGO activist who sat on fast untill death, neither an opposition leader. but a talented artist whose departure has vandalized the music world. But the TRP{Television's Raping Programmes} aiming comic and cheap post-mortem and some hilariously serious analysis on his personal space on these reputed among cynics channels are doing much harm to MJ's soul making him Rest In Piss than Peace. The blood sapttered on Indian myriad dance floor is not only limted to him. Its easy to earn fame in India if you sell. A fart is enough to initiate and publicitize the famous. Amitabh's hiccups, Advani's rhetorics, BCCI's team losing streak, mud-slinging in the parliament will create a crater like impression rather than one who is suiciding in farmlands, naked unable to feed himself, rampant corruption, abondoned social security, public grievances, etc. This trend is a fashion in India and if it wasnt there A.R.Rehman wont have made it to oscars. All this is as usual as Dal-Roti in our beleagured routine. why to worry then if this is earning us fame. After all we crave for this tawdry show. Take a chill pill, enjoyMJs pop and let him rest in Peace, please.

Is 'This-Grace' or 'Disgrace' ? ? ?

By the time you manage to finish-off with this not so graceful article, your grey-matter would be burping out hundreds of thoughts on the abstractness yet the relevance of this post. This is a brain-wave which would have sparked-off but wouldn't have been enough potent to ignite your mind (well it raged almost like a forst fire in the crevisces of my brain).

a series of bizarre yet quite expected events had hit my level of tolerance and forbearance. Suddenly I have found myself in a sinking and stinking(in values), brazen congregate of beleagured people, who call themselves as social living in the Indian society.

My eyes were blindfolded by the idealistic Indian Societal Values of forgiveness, self respect, helfulness, blah-blah-blah ( I have not consulted the dictionary for more values, you can add your own). But our modern Indian Society is equipped with highly admirable and pragmatic values of family (thanks to star plus, sony, zee, pls i dont watch tv), happiness(derived from letting down others, ostracizing people in the subtlest case), social one-ness(thanks Mr.Modi and our netas), and a lot more.

To be serious, many of us(rather all of us) are plagues to the society. With violence creeping at every level, social abuses, frustrating caste division, stretching of lines on religion, blatantly blaming authotorities, and, the list goes on. We are a society of stereotypes, who claim themselves as modern, living in the 21st century. But are  we  changing our 'shit-hole' sized mentalities to a broader level. I can't apprehend why are we indulging ourselves in back biting and acting like pests knowing that we are creating a hole in  ourselves. Why can't we be satisfied within ourselves?

This is not a rhetoric aimed at the society. But this is a provocation and a wake-up call to  all of us from a protagonist of a good and healthy atmosphere in the country. I admit I'm not perfect , but why cant we give ourselves a slightest of chance to broaden our thinking. Why shall we put fake smiles on our faces? Shouldn't we work to make the Indian society responsible and better place to live in. Why should we become vulnerable to irresponsible leaders? Why can't we give an answer to the world of hostilities in unison? Why can't we provide a congenial atmosphere for all in our India to lead it on the road of prosperity and austerity. The answer lies within us. We need to introspect ourselves and ask these questions. Please give a piece of your large enough mind on my small but important thoughts, not for me but atleat for the nation.

The Indian "Poll"istan

Yet another extravagant entertainment bonanza is at your doorsteps. Yes the truly awaited dance of Indian Democracy, the Lok Sabha elections are here. Thousands of politicians turned beasts will battle out each other in the struggle for their existence battling out each other as typical "Saas-Bahu's" as in the popular sop arena. Our politicians are paying a hommage to the great theory of Darwinism on his bi-centennary of Charles Darwin. All of a sudden the TRP's (television rating points) of news channels have taken a giant leap over daily sops. News channels have become the new source for family entertainment with flagging of shoes becoming a common publicity stunt.

Politicians and the poll field is quite interesting and absorbiong. Split personality, internal feuds, mud-slinging, regionalism, communalism, shoe hurling, debates in the wildly atmosphere of the parliament over Mayavati becoming the P.M. are all the essential spicy ingredients that make up this mouth watering Indian cuisine.I really enjoy this nationwide carnival of entertainment.

But sadly with the advent of new flashy and advance technology, we are a youthfull democracy ruled and dominated by old, old grand old men, and, Rip-Wan-Vinkles whose all time jobs are sleeping endlessly and becoming over-active in the war of words. All of us are aware of the ghory scene created during passing of the nuclear deal bill and unfortunate incidence of money flagging.

What lacks in the uncivilized and bewildered Indian poll arena is the dominance of youth and policies that have the gravity and substance. Sadly there are less than 10 M.P.s who are less than 40 years. The manifestos need to be pragmatic in approach and manifested properly.

Lets be together and work leaving our stereo-typed interests. The Indian democracy needs us. Lets not politicize the development. Lets work for our fellow country-men.
